at the limit. on our traffic maps all is well for the east shore freeway westbound 24. sixth downorth bound 101 los good no axes to report for northbound 85. >> thank you erica. there is concern over the type of pipe chevron plans to use to replace the one that broke last of is causing a huge fire at the richmond refinery. a preliminary findings suggest that corrosion caused the carbon steel pipes ruptured leading to august refinery fire in richmond. chevron has asked the city of richmond for a permit to replace the pipe with something better. a 9 percent chromium steel alloy but the chemical safety board is insured that is what best to prevent future incidents. >> this particular alloyed is call 9 kron can be susceptible to what is called sole foundation corrosion. it does not prove the alloy is not a good

the full segment today on the doctor's starting at 3:00 p.m. right here on kron 4. >> a government panel want more people to be routinely tested for hiv the u.s. preventive services task force suggest people ages 15 to 65 for a women be checked for the disease. that is a change from its 2005 recommendation, which covered adolescents and adults at increased risk for hiv. but with the cdc estimated that 25 percent of people infected with hiv do not know they have the disease. the task force says more must be done to help people become aware as early as possible. the cdc estimates that there are 1.2 million people in the u.s. living with hiv, with 50,000 cases each year. a new study finds that kids who regularly attend day care are more likely to be

are staging a 24 hour protest because the klan the port of oakland is not bargaining in good faith. they have been attentive to negotiate a contract for 16 month so far no progress. the port is refusing to give them all the documents they need so they can get to the bargaining table with full knowledge of what is going on. the port is asking that the workers contribute 5 percent into their retirement fund while they say it that is yes or no but we still have to look at the numbers to see if we want to do it. what they want to do is protesters out here and not disrupt services that the port of oakland as far as oakland international. they did not trdisrupt any of the travelers. they will get in front of the trucks to stop them from coming in the goal is to disrupt service. the port averages about $6 million every day they want to hit them in the pocketbook. word of this
